FREDERICK, MD - A pizza delivery man was the victim of an armed robbery, and one of the suspects involved was arrested Monday.

Police tell us they were flagged down by an individual who told the officer he had been robbed at gunpoint while delivering a pizza last Tuesday.

The victim told police he was making a delivery in the Westwind apartment complex, near Hillcrest Drive, and that's when he observed a group of people standing in the stairwell.

The victim then told police, when he entered the building he was followed by a light skinned black male with glasses, later identified as Datwon Diggs. The victim adds, it was that man, who pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

The victim, whose name has not been released, told police a second suspect approached and pointed a second gun at him. Both suspects got away with money and his pizza order.

Diggs was positively identified as one of the suspects on Monday. He was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Diggs is being charged with armed robbery, first degree assault and other offenses.

Police are still investigating this incident and they are attempting to identify other suspects involved. If you have any information you're asked to contact Detective Garcia at 301-600-1247 or to remain anonymous you can leave information on the tip line at 301-600-8477 (TIPS).
