WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect for Franklin, Fulton and Adams Counties in Pennsylvania from 7pm tonight until 11am Wednesday for a mix of sleet, freezing rain and snow.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect for Garrett County from 7pm tonight until 10am Wednesday for a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain. An inch of snow is possible with some ice accumulation.



TODAY: A cold front is stalled just to the south today bringing a damp, dreary and chilly day with highs only in the upper 30s to near 40. A shower is possible by late in the afternoon, but much of the day will remain dry.

TONIGHT: A low pressure moves along the front bringing a wintry mix of precipitation. A mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain and some snow to the north will begin by 7pm. Most of the precipitation will begin as rain with the highest elevations in Western Maryland and the Potomac Highlands seeing sleet and freezing rain. Some sleet and snow accumulation is expected there along with a glaze of ice is possible. Southern Pennsylvania will also see some sleet and snow with some ice accumulation. The Hagerstown area, points to the south and east will mostly be rain with some freezing rain possible before dawn, especially in the Blue Ridge mountains.

WEDNESDAY: A wintry mix of rain, sleet, and freezing rain early will clear out by the early afternoon. There may be a few peeks of sun late. High near 40.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny and a bit blustery with highs near 42.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and colder with highs only reaching the upper 30s.

SATURDAY: A warm front lifts through with temperatures in the upper 40s under partly sunny skies.

SUNDAY: A cold front moves through dry, but brings in Arctic air. Highs in the mid 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with high pressure overhead. High of 32.
