TODAY: Some morning sun will give way to mostly cloudy skies by this afternoon with near average temperatures. Highs will be in the mid 30s to the north and near 40 to the south in the Shenandoah Valley.
TONIGHT: It's cloudy and not too cold with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. The midnight temperature will be in the mid 30s.
NEW YEAR'S DAY: A weak disturbance passes through bringing a slight chance of a flurry or sprinkle, but any precipitation will be light. High: Upper 30s to low 40s. Western Maryland may see an inch or so of accumulation of snow.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of sunshine and clouds, but the bigger story will be the colder temperatures. Highs will struggle to reach 30 degrees.
THURSDAY: A weak system passes to our south bringing in a few clouds. It's still cold with a high of 32.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy and still brisk and chilly with highs in the low to mid 30s.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny and still dry with a high of 34.
SUNDAY: A blend of sun and clouds. It's blustery with highs in the upper 30s.
