Winchester Woman Charged in Second Degree Murder

WINCHESTER, VA - A Winchester grand jury Tuesday indicted a woman on second degree murder.
Kimberly Mercer, 49, of Winchester is charged in the death of 50-year-old Richard Kuit.
Officers say they were called to America's Beast Value Inn on Berryville Avenue in Winchester. They say when they arrived they found Kuit dead. An investigation found that Kuit died from heroin overdose and Mercer has supplied him with the heroin that led to his death.
Mercer also faces charges of distribution of heroin. Winchester State Police say there is a warrant out for her arrest.
