MARTINSBURG, WV- Berkeley County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Martinsburg man in connection to an armed robbery at a local auto service business Friday morning.

It happened at 6:14 a.m. at Jim's Auto Service on 3396 Winchester Avenue.

Police say 20-year-old Jimmy Lee Sims, of Files Cross Road, entered the business with two other men and demanded money from the owner.

Police say during the confrontation the owner was physically assaulted by Sims. They say Sims and the two other men escaped with a small amount of cash.

The owner was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

Through the investigation and interviewing the owner, police were able to link Sims to the crime.

Sgt. B. F. Hall and Dep. W. Christain arrested Sims at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon. He was processed at Berkeley County Magistrate Court. Sims was able to post bond and was released at that time.

Sims is charged with one-count of aggravated robbery.

Police say the other two men are still at large. They say the victim described them as white males, wearing dark clothing and both wearing bandannas partially covering their faces.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Sgt. B. F. Hall of the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at (304)-267-7000.
