Fire Truck Crashes into Creek while Responding to House Fire

By: Hayley Mason
Updated: February 23, 2013
MINERAL COUNTY, WV- A fire truck was involved in an accident while heading to a house fire just before 1:30am Saturday. An official with the Keyser Fire Department says the crew was responding to a house fire in the Sunnydale Addition at Stony Run Road, about a mile south of Keyser, when the accident happened. They say a small bridge that crosses Stony Run collapsed and the back of the aerial fire truck fell into the creek. Fire officials say two tow truck companies worked to get the truck out. There have been no injuries reported yet from the accident or the fire.
