BUCKEYSTOWN, MD- The Catholic Church has been in the public eye recently with the resignation of Pope Benedict.

"The Holy Father's resignation was an act of real humility and humanity and put the church first. Secondly like what the Pope is doing, we should pray hard for the Cardinals as they get together to elect a successor," says William Lori the Archbishop of Baltimore.

While many are wondering who the next Pope will be, Saint John's Catholic Prep School hosted a dedication and blessing of it's new academic building in Buckeystown, Md.

Saint John's moved from its Prospect Hall campus to its new location on Buckeystown Pike in January. Students, administrators, and priests attended the ceremony with strong feelings about the changes happening for them and the prospects of a future Pope.

Hundreds came together to share in the excitement of the new building and the Archbishop of Baltimore who presided in this special occasion.

Saint John's has been educating students from the tri-state area for more than 181 years.
