MARTINSBURG, WV- Police say a Martinsburg man faces 35 to 75 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually abusing two young boys.

Courts officials at Berkeley County Circuit Court say Christopher Jenson, 21, is accused of sexually molesting a 3 and 4-year-old boy in November of 2007.

The two boys did not report the abuse until January of 2012. The state alleged in the case that Jenson was baby-sitting the boys when he individually assaulted them in the bathroom of their home after they were blindfolded.

After hearing from both attorneys, the jury deliberated for about two hours on Wednesday before finding Jenson guilty of one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual abuse, according to court documents.

Jenson is currently being held at the Eastern Regional Jail and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 15th.

Comments

There is no crime worse than that of a child. There is no punishment harsh enough in order to punish this individual for what he has done to these boys. Castration and a very long life without parole sentencing should be the result; however even that is not punishment enough.
