HAGERSTOWN, MD - It's going to cost the City of Hagerstown a little more than $11,000 to see if baseball can be played at two potential locations.

"I think that analysis really needs to be done. It'll take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of two potential sites of course one is Hospital Hill and the one is basically where the stadium is now," says Councilman Don Munson.

The Ripken Design Team conducted the feasibility study for a downtown stadium last year. Now they'll also be reviewing the east end of the city where the stadium currently stands and the old Washington County Hospital site.

"The site of the present location of the stadium will probably come out the winner however that remains to be seen and I think it's worth investing $11,000 or $12,000 whatever it costs into making that decision," says Munson.

The team will see if building a new stadium is feasible while assessing the economic impact it'll have on the city. The two new sites will be compared to the original downtown stadium study, as well.

"We do need that stadium if we're going to keep our baseball team and lots of people want us to keep that baseball team including me," says Munson.

Munson says the report will add credibility when the times comes to ask the County and State for funding.
