Police Searching for Driver in Mercersburg Hit and Run

MERCERSBURG, PA- The Mercersburg Police Department are searching for the driver who hit a parked vehicle and drove off last Friday. 

Police say it happened in a handicap parking space in the VFW parking lot, off Veterans Way. 

They say the victim, 74-year-old Roy Peck, reported his 1989 Ford Tempo Sedan was struck by an unknown vehicle.  

Peck had parked his vehicle in a handicap parking space around 4 p.m. on February 1st. Peck told police when he returned to his vehicle around 5 p.m. he discovered the damage.

Police say the passenger side front door was damaged and passenger side mirror was knocked off by the impact of hit and run vehicle. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mercersburg Police Departmental at (717)-328-2221.
