MAUGANSVILLE, MD - Maugansville Road was closed down earlier Friday as crews tried to put a train back on its' tracks.

Firefighters responded to the incident around 4:45 p.m., Friday.

Officials say the train stopped right in front of the Maugansville Fire Department.

Originally the train stopped because of a wheel issues, but when it tried to start back up, that's when officials noticed it had derailed slightly.

The train could be stuck in that location until sometime Saturday.

Comments

need to perform regular maintenance on these trains
