Motorists Driving on Icy Roads and Slick Road Conditions

HAGERSTOWN, MD-Residential and main roads were affected throughout Saturday by the snowstorm, but mother nature didn't stop local motorists from driving on the streets.

The roads were slick and a little messy due to the snowstorm. Private and public snow removal crews were out cleaning and plowing snow off the roads.  They started working very early, trying to make sure the streets were cleared for the rest of the day.  Residents felt the streets were a little slippery, but not bad enough to stop them from commuting to their destinations.

"The main roads were pretty clear, but some of the back roads still had some snow cover on them, it was not bad," says Duffey Statler, Mercersburg Resident.

Residents say we are lucky for now, some believe the worst is yet to come for this Winter season.
