“Question of the Day”

CONTEST RULES

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to legal U.S. residents of the NBC25 viewing area, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations.  Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone.  If any prize notification or e-mail is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prizes will be forfeited and awarded in a second chance drawing.  Employees of Nexstar Broadcasting, WHAG-TV, the National Broadcasting Company, Inc., their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors working on their products, projects or promotions, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (parents, children and siblings and their spouses) and household members are not eligible.

HOW TO ENTER:  

Watch for the “Question of the Day” during NBC25 Morning News from 6am-7am.  Email your answer to amshow@nbc25.com.

WINNER:

Winner(s) will be randomly chosen based on their answer.  Limit one winner per broadcast quarter.

PRIZES: 

NBC25 reserves the right to only offer prizes based on the station’s discretion and availability of prizes.  Prizes must be claimed within two weeks winner notification.  If prizes go unclaimed within this time period, winner forfeits the prize.

This contest is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All taxes on the prize and any other expenses not specified above are the sole responsibility of the winner. Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to Sponsors' and their designee's use of winners' names and likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity purposes without additional compensation.

INTERNET:

If for any reason, the Internet Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of NBC25, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the Contest, NBC25 reserves the right in its discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. NBC25 assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. NBC25 is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail to be received by NBC25 because of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BY MADE, NBC25 RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY OFFENDER TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line served provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsors may require proof of account holder status. The use of automated entry devices is prohibited.

ADDITIONAL RULES:

Prizes are sponsored by NBC25.  Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of NBC25, whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this promotion. Sponsors reserve the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion it sponsors, any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules.
