Doug Sampson joined the NBC 25 Team in July 2006 as a Sports Reporter and was recently named Sports Director.

Before joining NBC 25, Doug served as a part-time sports anchor at WTVH-5 in Syracuse, NY. He is a 2006 Graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications where he earned a Bachelors degree as a dual major in Broadcast Journalism and Public Policy. While at Syracuse, Doug was a Sports Anchor/Reporter for Citrus TV.

He was also a host and analyst for the pre-game and post-game shows during the Orange's football and basketball seasons. An avid sports fan his entire life, Doug's fondest memories include being at Syracuse for a National Basketball championship and seeing the Red Sox break the curse. He continues to hold out hope that his beloved Buffalo Bills will one day win a SuperBowl.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Doug is delighted to bring his passion for sports to the Four-State Region.
