Angelique Gonzalez co-anchors NBC25’s News at 6 with Pieter Bickford and anchors Nightbeat at 11pm.
As the station's green reporter, each week she reveals new ways you can live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle with NBC25’s Green Report. She also has tips for “Getting Greener” in the Your4State Green section of Your4State.com.
Angelique joinged the NBC25 team in December of 2005 as a general assignment reporter for the morning and noon newscasts. She quickly moved to the anchor desk for the 5 p.m. and noon newscasts and shortly thereafter for the morning news.
Ms. Gonzalez started working in news at the Washington Bureau for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. She has also worked at WTTG-FOX 5 and WLAJ in Lansing. She also served as a press advance representative for both The White House and Department of Labor. During President George W. Bush's 2004 campaign, Angelique would travel across the country and abroad as part of an advance team that planned and organized press coverage for the President’s official and political events. She also helped organize press coverage of President Bush’s Inaugural Parade in 2005.
She holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and Bachelors in Communications from The University of Michigan.
Angelique is a Maryland native and still has family living in Montgomery County. She visits with her mother, younger brother, older sister and brother in-law on a regular basis. In her spare time Angelique likes catching up with friends on Facebook, shopping and playing with her dog, Sophie.
