Reported by: Jeannie Flitner Sunday, Nov 29, 2009 @07:38pm EST HAGERSTOWN, MD - A second inmate stabbing at MCI in Hagerstown has sent an inmate to Washington County Hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Officials say the stabbing happened around 2:00 p.m. in the recreation yard. When paramedics arrived on the scene, the victim was unresponsive and had stab wounds to his collar bone area, shoulder, and right arm. Correctional officers escorted the ambulance to the hospital. This is the second stabbing this weekend. Friday evening a 31-year-old inmate, serving time for kidnapping and robbery, was also stabbed in the recreation yard. He was unable to identify who stabbed him. It is not clear if the two incidents are related, but both are being internally investigated. |
