WAYNESBORO, PA - Two women in Pennsylvania have started a unique boutique with locally made items that come from an unusual source.
It is clothing made from alpaca fur or fibers as it's known in the alpaca world.
The stores, called Pacocha, sell a variety of clothes and some soaps and stuffed animals. The clothes are made from blends of alpaca and wool.
Jean Widder, who sells alpaca clothes, said, "Sometimes it is somewhat compared to wool because it has the same properties of wool in the fact that it has the same warmth of wool. It just doesn't have the itch factor."
The two farms, Stone Meadow Alpacas and Long Acres Alpaca Farm, are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
