HAGERSTOWN, MD - It's often referred to as the world's largest Christmas project, where good Samaritans collect shoe-boxes filled with gifts to send to children overseas.

These children suffer from natural disaster, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty, and live in more than 100 different countries all over the world.  It's called Operation: Christmas Child.  It's through an organization called the Samaritans Purse, and over the years more than 69 million gift-filled shoe boxes have been sent.

The project is collecting shoe-boxes filled with toys from now until November 23rd.
