MARTINSBURG, WV.-   Martinsburg's Jacqueline Brewer has committed to play basketball at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Brewer signed her official letter of intent, accepting a full schoalrship Thursday afternoon in the Martinsburg High School library. 

Brewer helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 23-4 record and a West Virginia AAA State Semifinal appearance last winter. She averaged 21 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.  She was named to the West Virginia AAA All-State 1st team.

Brewer went over one thousand career points as a sophomore at Millbrook High SChool, before transferring to Martinsburg last season.  She will very likely pass two thousand career points during her upcoming senior season.
