Reported by: Sarah Hopkins Sunday, Nov 8, 2009 @06:27pm EST HALFWAY, MD - Fire officials say an electric radio caused a fire in Halfway Saturday afternoon.
The blaze started when a radio plugged into a car port caught fire. It spread to some nearby combustibles including an old television set. The fire didn't spread beyond the car port, but it did cause heavy dark smoke to spread through the adjacent residence. There were no injuries, and one person was home when the fire broke out. Officials estimate it caused about $1,500 in damage. |
