WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD - The school week might be over, but people are still showing up to an elementary school in Washington County.
A blood drive is being held at Fountain Rock Elementary School.
The school holds blood drives twice a year, but this one honors Fountain Rock third-grader, David Greeley.
Greeley's leg was amputated and he suffered a number of broken bones after being struck by a car in August.
"We can't raise money. So, one of the ideas we had was, since he needed blood during his accident, that's something we could give back and do it in his honor," says Michael Telemeco, the school's principal.
The blood drive ran until 7:00 Friday evening.
