Reported by: Jacqueline Waite Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @07:16pm EST FREDERICK, MD - Nintendo's Wii has become a popular activity for the senior citizen crowd, and now the national senior league has created a Wii bowling tournament.
One Emmitsburg team, called "In Our Prime" is quickly advancing through the ranks. The bowlers say they practice on their own at home, and star bowler Donald Duval practices up to eight hours on his own. He has bowled two perfect games so far in the tournament. He says it's all in the technique. "I line up my mark there on the same spot every time, but I just go back and just let it go!" he says. Duvall says he just started Wii bowling eight months ago. He says a lot of mornings he'll wake up and start bowling at 5:00 a.m. |
