Reported by: Angelique Gonzalez Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @07:18pm EST BRUNSWICK, MD - A Frederick County native is now a finalist in Oprah's National Karaoke Contest.
Oprah made the announcement on Friday's show, and made Rob Weddle the last of three finalists that will compete next Thursday. Weddle now lives in Florida, but still has family living in Frederick County, Maryland. The competition started out with thousands of hopefuls, but is now down to a chosen few. Weddle chose to sing "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" during his performance on the Oprah Show. Weddle had his wife in the audience, but had plenty of friends and family rooting him on from Brunswick. |
