Reported by: Jamie Burke Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @06:56pm EST MARTINSBURG, WV - After serving a year in Iraq, 50 soldiers were reunited with friends and family Thursday in a ceremony at the United States Army Reserve in Martinsburg.
The soldier's loved ones were overjoyed to have them back home safely and in one piece. The majority of the soldiers have had multiple deployments. The one common message from the soldiers was to thank everyone who has supported them. Sgt. Jamaine Cain said, "I just want to thank everybody out there that does anything to help support the troops because that is important, and sometimes it may not look like it but we are very appreciative of that and it really helps us out a lot." The soldiers were deployed together to operate an ammunition supply point in Iraq. |
