PATH Agrees to Delay Project Consideration in WV

WEST VIRGINIA- Developers of the PATH power line project have agreed to postpone consideration of the transmission line in West Virginia.
The decision comes in response to a motion filed by staff of the West Virginia Public Service Commission to dismiss the project because PATH Allegheny has not received approval to build the line in Maryland.
Project officials say they are willing to delay regulatory consideration of the 280-mile multi-state transmission line in West Virginia and Virginia so they can refile the application in Maryland.
PATH Allegheny says the overall plan for the project has not changed and the company hopes to finish the project as scheduled in 2014.
