Reported by: Erin Wolfe Saturday, Oct 31, 2009 @06:33pm EDT GREENE TOWNSHIP, PA - A three-year-old boy is safe after crews searched 11 hours through the night to find him.
Loudon Clare Bricker was discovered missing around 9:30 Friday night. Police say he was last seen around 4:30, but there was a "communication mix-up" between his parents, who thought Loudon was with each other. About 80 volunteers searched for Loudon on his family's farm and the surrounding properties in a two-mile area near the Franklin County Regional Airport. He was found in a field by two neighbors around 9:00 a.m. this morning. Thomas and John Shatzer say they heard Loudon calling for his mother. When they found him, he was with his dog, Spike. The Shatzers say Loudon was wearing a heavy coat and he seemed to be okay. He was interested in the Pennsylvania State Police helicopter that was flying overhead. Loudon's mother arrived with rescue crews as soon as he was found. He was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for precautionary medical treatment. |
