Reported by: Angelique Gonzalez Friday, Oct 23, 2009 @08:25pm EDT WEST VIRGINIA - Two hospitals in the eastern panhandle have issued new visitor guidelines In an effort to keep the swine and seasonal flu from spreading.
City Hospital in Martinsburg and Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson are requiring that visitors be at least 18 years old to enter. They're also restricting the number of visitors a patient can have. Each patient can only have two visitors at a time. Both hospitals are asking anyone with a fever, cough, chills, muscle aches or other symptoms to stay away unless they are coming to seek treatment. Earlier this month, Washington County Hospital starting limiting visitors as well allowing only visitors over the age of 18. |
