Adam Z. Winer

Adam Winer joined WHAG-TV NBC25 in October of 2009 as a general assignment reporter and is excited to continue his career in the 4-state region.

Adam last worked for WRC-TV NBC4 in Washington, DC, originally field producing and running scripts as a production assistant before becoming the morning assignment editor. Originally from northern New Jersey, Adam is a graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland and is happy to be living in Maryland.

In college, Adam anchored and reported for the University of Maryland’s Capital News Service on UMTV, getting his first taste of being a one-man-band. Also for UMTV, he reported for the debut season of Terrapin Timeout. Adam spent most of his time though at the University’s college radio station WMUC. He was an on-air DJ and show host, and did sports broadcasting for nearly every sport you can think of. In 2007, he was General Manager of the station. Adam was also senior staff writer for the campus newspaper The Diamondback. For internships, Adam spent time serving Tony Kornheiser and David Burd at Washington Post Radio (now WWT) and also interned at Comcast SportsNet in Bethesda.

If Adam is not at the station or out on a story, he’s probably digging for new music, watching films, or playing/watching sports. You might catch him running, but he’s definitely not enjoying it.
