Reported by: Scott Hershberger Tuesday, Sep 8, 2009 @07:16pm EDT WAYNESBORO, PA - There's still no budget in Pennsylvania, and some of the state's residents have had enough.
A group of men from Waynesboro are starting a movement to impeach Governor Ed Rendell. They're upset it's been more than two months since the state budget was supposed to be passed. The men are also frustrated with the governor's decision to close the Scotland School for Veterans Children. A petition will soon be available at "On the Road” Books in Waynesboro. "We're looking for anybody who wants to join us,” said Emmert Rowland, who lives in Waynesboro. “The more people, the better. We just don't think he's doing a job that's good for the state." A representative from Governor Rendell's office says Mike Kohler and Emmert Rowland's time would be better spent encouraging local lawmakers to work with their leadership to get a balanced budget on the governor's desk for him to sign. |
