HAGERSTOWN, MD.- Recent Smithsburg graduate Josh Conway was drafted by the Atlanta Braves Thursday.  He was selected in the 42nd Round, 1258th overall. 

Conway was a two-sport star at Smithsburg.  He excelled as a wide receiver and defensive back on the football team. 

On the baseball field, he had an ERA of 1.00, with 52 strikeouts.  At the plate, he batted .500 with 5 homeruns, 19 RBIs, 29 runs, and 16 steals.  He is going to Coastal Carolina (A top 20 baseball program) on a full scholarship. 

High School graduates have until August 15th to sign a contract if they elect to forgo school.
