FREDERICK, MD - Saturday, at Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, kids set up information tables and educated others, including kids their own age, through an organization called Kids are Heroes.

Whether it was supporting soldiers in Iraq or finding homes for homeless dogs, these kids shined the spotlight on a variety of causes that are important to them.

ulie Yankaskas, a participant in Kids are Heroes, said, "It's been really great working for a common cause to help animals and some people are here for other events so it's really great."
