Chris Smith is NBC25’s morning and noon meteorologist. He joined the NBC25 News Team in July
2008. He is originally from MedfordLakes
and Maple Shade, New Jersey.
Chris became interested in weather at an early age by watching what the weather
would be like for his soccer games. His saying is that no matter what job you have
the weather effects you in one way or another.
He is also an active member
in the community by volunteering his time to local organizations. He has helped
out with the Humane Society of Washington County, Toys for Tots and the Maryland
Symphony Orchestra. Chris also enjoys going to schools to talk about weather. If

Chris
earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from PlymouthStateUniversity
in Plymouth, NH.
During his time at Plymouth he
completed an internship at NBC (WMGM-TV) in Atlantic City,
NJ. He also played soccer and football for Plymouth.
Chris is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National
Weather Association.
Besides the weather Chris enjoys playing all sports,
