NBC NEWS - A Pennsylvania mother stands in her kitchen, busily working eggs, oatmeal and milk.
It's not breakfast that's on this woman's mind.
She's mixing up kitchen cosmetics.
Ramell Cooper's potions aren't restricted to dairy and grains, either.
She said cucumbers may be good in salads, but they work miracles on skin, too.
The ingredients that go into Cooper's potions and lotions are natural and beneficial, unlike many over-the-counter cosmetics which contain mineral oils or petroleum.
"Petroleum acts as plastic, which keeps your skin from expelling all the toxins that would come out," Cooper said.
Cooper owns Lucky Duck Cosmetics, a company that started as a small business, catering to a few neighbors' needs, and has grown to deliver products derived from ingredients in her kitchen to buyers all over the world.
Carrie House has been using cosmetics with all-natural ingredients for about a year.
"A lot of over-the-counter products were drying my skin," House said. "With this, it doesn't do that. It actually moisterizes my skin."
Coopers' ingredients, such as coconuts, eggs, milk, honey and nut and fruit oils, are among the same things many could find in their local grocery store.
"These things work with the skin," she explained. "They're good for you and the environment.
