Sarah Hopkins joined NBC 25 in November of 2007 as a general assignment reporter. Before joining the team at NBC 25, she worked at WBAL-TV in Baltimore as an assignment editor and associate producer. A Maryland native and a University of Maryland graduate, she's thrilled to start her on-air career in her home state.
Sarah has worked as a freelance reporter for the Harford bureau of the Baltimore Sun, and as a reporter and anchor for the University of Maryland's Capital News Service. She loves the thrill of daily news, but she also has an interest in documentary film. During an internship with BBC-TV in London, she worked on short documentary series about the personal debt crisis sweeping the United Kingdom. In 2005, she traveled to Costa Rica to work on a documentary film about the country's cattlemen, and in 2007 she produced a short documentary about surfers in Ocean City, Maryland.
In her spare time, she loves running, eating sushi, and meeting new people. In fact, she'd love to hear from you! Drop her a line with comments or story ideas
