Scott Hershberger joined the NBC25 news team in July 2007 and is thrilled to begin his career at his “hometown” station.

A lifelong native of Waynesboro, PA, Scott first developed a love for the news business while working as an intern at NBC25 during the summer of 2005.  In 2006, Scott was able to combine this love with his passion for sports while interning at FOX Sports Net Pittsburgh.

Scott graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism in May 2007.  During his time in college, he was extremely active with campus media, serving as a news reporter, anchor and producer, as well as a sideline reporter for SUTV’s live coverage of Red Raider sporting events.  His weekly talk-show, “The Scott Spot,” won him a number of national broadcasting awards.

When not at the station, Scott enjoys playing tennis, golfing, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
