Jamie Burke joined the NBC 25 news team in June of 2009 as a general assignment reporter. She grew up in Kearneysville, which is located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. She loves working in the four-state region and reporting on local events. She caught the entertainment bug and started working in TV and film after graduating high school. She has been in several commercials, movies, and is even eligible to join SAG, Screen Actors Guild Union. She graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor of Science in August 2008, but found that reporting the news is her calling after spending time with a news reporter at NBC 25. She loves the news and being in front of a camera. When she is not in the news room she enjoys riding horses and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her dog and three cats. If you see her out and about please feel free to come up and say hi, she loves meeting new people and hearing what they have to say.
