Massage therapist:  15 to 20 percent above usual tip

Pool cleaner:  half of one month's cleaning bill or tickets to a sporting event or movie

Dog walker:  a week's salary

Doorman:  $25 to $50

Elevator operator:  $20 to $50

Parking garage attendant:  one-third of monthly bill

Mail carrier:  postal worker can accept gifts up to $20, no cash

Newspaper carrier:  $5 to $15 per weekend, $15 to $25 weekday delivery
