Bio for Tim Pandajis

Tim Pandajis joined the WHAG weather team in August of 2010.

He is a native of Connecticut where he lived all his life and went to school. Tim graduated from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. Tim is a member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.

In college, Tim produced and anchored many school run weather broadcasts as well as participated in various programs to educate the youth about the weather.

Tim's interest in becoming a meteorologist started when he was in third grade during the Blizzard of 1996. The storm struck his home state dumping over three feet of snow! Throughout the duration of the storm he was glued to The Weather Channel and the Connecticut news stations.

During his senior year at college he interned at WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News in Rocky Hill,CT with Chief Meteorologist Bruce DePrest and Meteorologist Mark Dixon who opened his eyes to how interesting and exciting broadcasting can be.

He is eager to meet the people and see the places that make the four state region such a great place to work and live. When not at work, Tim enjoys seeing friends and family, visiting new places, taking road trips and relaxing. He looks forward to getting involved in the community and meeting viewers, so if you see Tim out and about make sure you say hello and feel free to ask him about the weather!
