Bio for Katie Kyros
Katie got her start in journalism as the editor of her high school newspaper in Montgomery County, and later as an intern for WTTG-Fox 5. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and political science from the University of Michigan.
Katie earned her Master's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California in May 2010. She was a reporter for Annenberg TV News, and focused on the justice system, homelessness and those with special needs.
While in Southern California, she wrote for the Los Angeles Times Homicide Report and Los Angeles Downtown News. She also interned at KNBC Investigations in Burbank, and learned a thing or two about stakeouts (which included watching NBC soap stars head to work by her office!).
Katie loves animals and often attempts to train her beagle, Scout. She enjoys reading, going to the beach whenever possible, and meeting new people. If you see her around town, please say hello!
