Meteorologist Dan Peck joined the WHAG Weather Team in August 2012. He comes to us after working as a weather producer for ABC News in New York City. While at ABC News, Dan created weather graphics and helped produce weather segments for shows including "World News with Diane Sawyer", and "Good Morning America". He says one of his favorite experiences at ABC News was tracking Hurricane Irene in August 2011. He said it was tough to remain inside and forecast while the storm was passing right over New York!

Dan earned his Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from Kean University in Union, NJ. While attending college, he delivered TV and radio forecasts, branded as "Keancasts", to the campus community. He also had the opportunity to travel to several weather conferences across the country, and was a weather intern at WNBC in New York.

Dan was raised in northern New Jersey and says that he has been following the weather ever since the Blizzard of 96 left over 2 feet of snow at his house. He admits while many people may enjoy spring, summer or fall, he hands down is a big fan of winter and loves snow. Besides forecasting the weather, Dan is a big sports fan. He enjoys watching baseball and football. He also enjoys the outdoors, doing some cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.
