Ananda Rochita joined the WHAG team in July 2010 as a news reporter. Ananda was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Even though she is a long way from home, she is no stranger to the region. Ananda first came to Maryland on her recruiting trip and fell in love with the people and the beautiful scenery. A month later she signed her letter of intent to attend Mount St. Mary's University to play Division I golf.

At the Mount, Ananda was selected to be a Presidential Mount Ambassador and was awarded a Distinguished Portfolio of her work in Communications. 

In addition to interning at WHAG, Ananda also interned at WBAL TV 11 News in Baltimore and Metro TV in Jakarta, Indonesia as an Associate Producer.

Ananda is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Asian American Journalists Association.

Ananda loves to travel and has traveled to numerous countries all over the world. She's traveled all over Europe and Asia. She even studied in France during college.  While not at the station, Ananda can be seen working on her short game on the course, at the gym, or photographing sights in the area.
